The Gamelatron, created by composer and instrument builder Aaron Taylor Kuffner, is a Kinetic instrument of sounding bronze and quiet machinery. Drawing on years of study and collaboration in Indonesia with Balinese gamelan masters, Kuffner conceived it to be shared and experienced by many. Its slow-unfolding patterns fill The Hudson Harmonic with shimmering resonance. We are deeply fortunate to be its home. As the tones drift and interlock, time softens, the body settles, and listening becomes a form of presence.
